Troubled Waters by Fred Brown
Full description:
A Yorkshire dialect poem written by Huddersfield poet Fred Brown (1893-1980) describing the frosty relationship between weavers and menders employed in the local textile industry. Printed in 'Songs of the Factory and the Loom' 1943 (p14). The poem is 6 lines in length. The ends of Lines 1, 2, 4 and 6 rhyme, and the ends of lines 3 and 4 rhyme.
