This 'affadavit' or letter (it is not directly addressed to anyone) attests to an event in the incumbant's curacy when he became responsible for reburying a couple from the 1600s, lost in a snowstorm and marvellously preserved by the peat, in Hope Parish Churchyard, Derbyshire, UK. It is a one-page documents currently held by the Derbyshire Record Office, ref. Wormald 1758, D.1828 A/PI 449/1
