Full description:
Oil painting on canvas, unframed. Measurements are: 1732 x 1462 x 28 mm.Depicts the figure of a woman in an orange 1920s style dress , with large blue and red feathered headdress. Skeletal hands hold up a tray of jewels and golden trinkets. Behind her, a face peers through a window, hands out clasped, dressed in white.

It is held and owned by us : National Trust, a registered conservation and heritage charity in the UK. The only painting not owned by us is The Devils Daughter, which is being loaned to us.
Details and dates of publication, broadcast and/or distribution:
Photographs appear of the paintings ,in a book by Angela Gaffney, published in 1999 by University of Wales. The paintings also appear in a broadcast by HTV (ITV in Wales) documentary : Textured Lives, in the year 2000. It has also appeared in various BBC articles within the last two years.
