Full description:

Écorché drawing showing the musculature within an inked outline of a human body, modelled on a classical sculpture of Heracles holding an apple in his right hand and a baton in his left. An index, in pencil, on the right side lists the muscles which are identified by numbers and letters drawn on the figure. A Royal Academy Schools label is in the top-right corner recording Shubrook's class number, surname, age, register number and stage. Graphite and black ink on wove paper. 72 x 53 cm.
