(1) Metropolitan Board of Works (2) George Christopher Trout Bartley of St Margarets House, Victoria St, Westminster, Middx, esq, MP In consideration of expense of (2) in erecting buildings etc, (1)-(2) piece of ground on south side of Theobalds Rd, parish of St George the Martyr, Middx. (dimensions and abutments given, including east on 47 Theobalds Rd about to be leased to (2) and west on premises leased to Alfred Lanham) with house and shop erected thereon by (2). Term: 80 years from 29 Sept 1882 Rent: first two years a peppercorn; residue £22 pa Block plan of premises."
