Interior [subject: circus; theatre]; female bare-back rider (left centre) atop a white horse in a circus ring; a clown stands with his back to the audience, ringside (left); circus-master (centre) in evening dress; foreground and back - seated audience, invariably wearing hats; tiered seats at back.
